Amazon Winds Down Its AmazonSmile Program

AmazonSmile ends

You may have heard that Amazon’s charity program AmazonSmile will be shutting down next month. The letter we received reads, in part: “Dear customer,

In 2013, we launched AmazonSmile to make it easier for customers to support their favorite charities. However, after almost a decade, the program has not grown to create the impact that we had originally hoped.” It goes on to say, “We are writing to let you know that we plan to wind down AmazonSmile by February 20, 2023.”

Thank you to all those who designated Tloma Giving as your preferred charity and bought products through the AmazonSmile program. You still have until February 20th to help support Tloma Giving with your Amazon purchases. You can do that by clicking the TlomaGiving AmazonSmile link. Then just log in and shop as you normally would.

Read the full email Tloma Giving and other AmazonSmile customers received about the program’s shutdown.

Note: This only affects the AmazonSmile program. Tloma Giving continues to provide assistance to the students, families, and community of Tloma. After the AmazonSmile program closes, use the Donate button at the top of the page to make donations, or use one of the other methods on our Ways to Give page.
