Tloma Giving Brings Light To Tloma

Luci Lux solar light inflated and illuminated

Tloma Giving is literally investing in bright futures!

Later this month, Winona, president of Tloma Giving, will be visiting the students and village of Tloma, as will our treasurer, Jim. Jim will be taking along with him several of these inflatable, solar-powered lights called Luci Lux.

These Luci Lux lights are solar powered so they do not depend on batteries or electricity to power them. They are light, inflatable, collapsible, and can be easily carried and set up anywhere.

Many homes in Tloma do not have electricity, so it is difficult to impossible for students to study when the sun goes down. These lights will make it possible for students to continue their homework into the evening hours without having to worry about darkness interrupting their studies. Of course, the lanterns can also be used throughout the home wherever a light source is needed.

We purchased these lights from MPOWERD. Though our baggage limits for this upcoming trip have been reached, we will still accept donations of these lights. The next time one of our board members visits Tloma, they will take the lights along. If you have plans to visit Tloma Primary School, consider purchasing and taking a couple of Luci Lux lights with you. The students will appreciate it.
